NOSTALGIA RAILWAY

The classic age of railway travel is recaptured in this series of exclusive new prints from NS Gallery.

Each design is a new painting of part of the north-east in the British Railways tradition, but the subjects have been researched from old photographs, postcards and other contemporary sources to reflect the look of yesteryear. Some elements may be referenced from contemporary posters.

These are NOT direct copies of any existing posters, they are an homage to the distinctive artwork of the 1920's to the 1960's painted, as in the past, on art paper or illustration board. Many are of towns or subjects that have never been featured on posters before now.

Also available are prints of the original paintings without the graphic design additions. These artworks are of varying measurements but are printed within our standard sizes.
